Obama is for Change - Find Another Message, McCain
How blatant is McCain in trying to trick the American public? First he chooses a trophy running mate, to match his trophy wife. Yay, now he's got bookends. And American voters are buying this moose-killing, anti-abortion holy roller. How disappointing that white women would want to sell their right to choose down the river so they can have a young hottie on the ticket. Wake up, women!
McCain has only been able to become the Republican candidate by selling out all his moderate principles and letting fundamentalist Christians drag him to the extreme right. They're the ones who urged him to make Sarah Palin his running mate, though he preferred Joseph Lieberman.
If McCain et al. had taken the time to vet Palin properly, they would have learned she was an earmarker extraordinaire who'd been a supporter of the Bridge to Nowhere, till it was already pegged for congressional veto. Would McCain have picked the hockey mom from hell if he'd known she was the poster girl for porkbarrel spending, one of the main issues he used to rail against? Or that she's used her position to try to get state troopers, librarians, and officials in her government fired? (And in the last instance, succeeded in destroying someone who didn't do her bidding?)
Sen. McCain, you can't be the voice of experience and the candidate of change. Pick one. I suggest experience, since you have tons of experience in backing Bush's war and policies. And caving in to the wing nuts of your party.
